From its quaint relaxed space located just steps away from the northeast shores of Cayuga Lake, salt of the earth will feature NYS craft beer and wine to pair with a seasonal menu inspired by local farm-to-table ingredients.


Pasture-raised meats and responsibly-grown local produce will combine with thoughtful execution to provide guests with a new taste experience…a fusion of classic and modern cooking techniques designed to showcase flavors and delight the palette.


NOTE:  we will be closed on Wednesdays starting November through the winter season.

With comfortable seating for approx. 24 guests, salt of the earth will expand dining options to include private gatherings, winemaker dinners, and supper club culinary events.

Supper club events will be open to the public by reservation and will include a number of courses featuring locally-sourced ingredients.

mike BOISE

Chef Mike Boise has several years of culinary experience and a strong love for the Finger Lakes. Mike’s passion for salt of the earth is driven by local artisans and the wonderful products they produce. He uses a fusion of classic and modern american cooking techniques to create delicious meals and experiences paired with hand crafted beverages in a relaxed and beautiful village setting.


Nancy’s passion for the area started from a very young age spending every summer on Cayuga Lake. Once introduced to the local wineries she fell in love with the craft and knew it would be a big part of her life. A graduate of the Finger Lakes Community College Wine Technology and Viticulture program, Nancy has been fortunate enough to work with many respected wine makers and grape growers in the region. Constantly looking to expand her education she worked the 2017 harvest at a bio dynamic winery in the south of France. This cultural experience helped broadened her palate and knowledge of wine pairing that she is excited to bring to salt of the earth.
